The French forward helped United to a comfortable victory over Watford on Saturday scoring his 24th goal for the club but another goal by Martial will see the Red Devils pay a sum of €10m to AS Monaco as stated in his transfer contract.

The 21-year-old forward joined United for a reported fee close to €50m in 2015 with several clauses which see the fee rise to €85m. Details of his contract was earlier leaked shortly after he joined United and it is also stipulated that Monaco is entitled to a sum of €10m if the forward makes 25 international caps with France and another €10m if he makes the Ballon D’or shortlist.

Martial has not have the best of times under Jose Mourinho, making his only second league start in 2017 during their win over Watford, with reports that he might leave the club in search of better first team opportunities elsewhere which could see his former side, Monaco earn 50% of the sell-on price if sold for €60-€100m.
