Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Juventus star Paul Pogba fund operations of 22 African children during Euro 2016

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has once again proven what a great guy he is by paying for 11 African children to have much-needed surgery.

Ozil has financed 11 operations for the children as part of the BigShoe11 campaign, which have taken place during Euro 2016.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has done the same and has funded 11 operations of his own.

All 22 operations have now been successfully completed and Ozil was quick to thank everyone involved in the campaign.

‘A medical team has successfully operated 22 children in need,’ he posted on Twitter.

‘Proud to have the opportunity to help! #Big Shoe.’
In the video he posted, Ozil said: ‘I’m happy to be part of it.

‘During the Euro I will pay for 11 surgeries of needy children.

‘That’s my eleven. That’s my favourite team.’

Pogba also took to Twitter to further promote the campaign.
