A 100-yr-old grandmother totally nailed the bridesmaid role she was given by her granddaughter who was getting married.
Martha Wallbank who was marking her 100th birthday was asked by the bride, 29-yr-old Vita Cresswell, to walk her down the aisle. She had one question to ask her granddaughter - could she be a bridesmaid?
On April 8, Grandma Wallbank became the oldest woman to ever play that role in Britain.
Cresswell was getting married to her partner of eight years 31-yr-old Gary Whineray, on her grandmother's birthday.
"We wondered how people pick dates so we decided to pick her birthday, then she just said “I’m the bridesmaid, aren’t I?” and we just thought why not and went along with it. She was absolutely made up, it was so cute," Vita told Metro UK.
On her granddaughter's wedding day, Martha wore a sky blue hat with lace and a feather detail, pairing it with a vintage cream coat. Reports say she was the 'life of the wedding party'.
