When Barack Obama sent his former teacher a heartfelt, handwritten letter to congratulate him on his 80th birthday, the president probably thought he would cherish it for life.

But 'Bill' - the Hawaii prep school teacher who received the note last year - has already put it up for sale with an asking price of $12,500.
In the letter, Obama writes: 'Dear Bill - Happy 80th Birthday!'

'I hope you, Janet and the extended family have a joyous celebration.
'Aloha, Barack Obama.'
